For successful Arunachal entrance candidates

Friday, May 30, 2008 | posted in | 2 comments

Congratulations once again to all the successful candidates!

However, be cautious your ordeals are far from over. And crossing those successfully would bring the best out of you.

Anyway - I had nothing in mind to write. Just been through NPR's (have a glance at her blog ?) comment. Well, that did motivate me to write down another post ( ya, somebody's taking note of my work - haha ).

OK. Based on my 4 years stint in Karnataka as an engineering student, and all the Gossips, discussions that I had been part of - So following is my own ranking of the Karnataka engineering colleges for Arunachal Pradesh's candidates.

1.B.V. Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering & Technology (Hubli)

2.Malnad College of Engineering ( Hassan )

3.Basaveshwar Engineering College ( Bagalkot )

4.Poojya Doddappa Appa College of Engineering (Gulbarga )

5.Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology ( Davangere )

I can at the moment come up with this list only - its because of the reason that I was in touch with the students from these colleges only - Ya- one that you get through Arunachal entrance exams.

I had heard about engineering colleges in Belgaum and Mysore that also has some seats reserved for Arunachal's students. But, I have no idea to what extent thats true. Keep your fingers crossed though.

As for the colleges that I'ad mentioned above - they have a good crowd of arunachali students. Yes - your own Arunachal Party in every college. They would certainly help you once you get there - all they need to know is that you are from Arunachal. :)

I shall appreciate if any other folks here can contribute further to this listing or the least give their comments which could be helpful for other guys looking for the same.

Please note that - these are my own ranking and has nothing to do with whatsoever reasons people can make out of this. This is just a part of my contribution to give the students a fair idea of what I had heard - talked all these years.

Regards
Rome

@Rome,
Thats another chunk of informaitons, well done!! Earlier in Karnataka state, they used to allot college seats from Blore and mysore to AP people. Later on trend got changed, they are continously sending towards northern part of state. As per my own perceptions, securing seats at colleges like M S Ramaiah and couple of other good colleges (names are not coming in my head) around b'lore and and NIE and JSS engg college of mysore would better choice for AP students. These colleges give u better placement opportunities too, moreover better communication than traversing to those remote country side( no offence to fellow AP students :) ).Lets hope for the best for this year.

Hi NPR,
Ya- earlier it used to be the colleges from and around blore and mysore.
Ramaiah definitely tops the chart. But, i guess now the government seats are alloted for mostly the colleges in North Karnataka - gulbarga, bagalkot, hubli etc per se.
I had heard once - not that sure, that they have a kind of cycle in alloting these colleges. I don't know about the length for the same. 5 to 10 years. Because earlier it used to Blore region colleges only. But since 2002 that has changed. Its most of the time- north karnataka.

However - one can pay privately and gain admission to Ramaiah. I have seen some guys doin the same. There are scores of Arunachalis that one would find in Ramaiah - but most of them doing some other courses (bio tech, nursing etc). Had been there once - good crowd.
:)
